Chef Fabian Basabe - Mr. March, 2011

More than just your average boldfaced name, Fabian Basabe, an entrepreneur and television personality, manages to perfectly embody a saying from his ancestral Ecuador: "What you enjoyed, nobody can take away from you".  He created Imaginary Heroes Foundation, a non-profit caring for the humanity project, and is both President and Chairman of the Board for this charity.  Other charity associations he has worked with include Operation Smile, Spirituality for Kids, the IBLA Foundation, and Edwin Gould Services for Children's "Children's Expressions Project".

Fabian has also been featured as a spokesperson for the Junior Jet Set on E!'s Young, Rich and Famous, Filthy Rich Cattle Drive and TLC's Simple Life to Social Life.  He also has some new television projects in the works.  This small screen star, who has appeared on Oprah and was once named on of Gotham's most eligible bachelors, is now settled down, happily married and a new dad!   Maintaining his focus on his television career, Fabian also contributes as a celebrity writer whose work has appeared in Glamour, Gotham, Marie Claire Australia, Glamour Poland, and LA Confidential Magazines, and still manages to have something of a social life.

Fabian owns Da Vittorio in Coral Gables and you can find him there almost every night.

"I agree with James Dean on only the first of his three rules for life:  Live fast, die young, and leave a good looking corpse"   ~ Fabian Basabe

Scenes from Chef Fabian's Hot Chefs Photo Shoot at Da Vittorio

This guy couldn't take a bad picture if he tried.  Fabian's food and restaurant are as beautiful and delicious as HE is!  And guess what.  He's a really nice guy who truly made us feel at home.
Also pictured are Hot Chefs Owners Taylor Morgan and Judy Myers as well as make up artist
Gina Seebauer.  Ya we know...crappy job, but someone's gotta do it. :)
