Chef Dudley Bell Rich III - Mr. February, 2011
Chef Dudley Bell Rich III brings to The Bridge Hotel more than 30 years of culinary management, supervision, purchasing and executive leadership in high volume, upscale, multi-global environments. His skills have been honed by tenures as Executive Chef and Executive Sous-Chef for five-star resorts such as the Four Seasons Resorts in Newport, California and Maui, Hawaii and the San Diego Princess. His private country club tenure included eight-years at Addison Reserve Country Club and the Country Club of Coral Gables. When Chef Rich came to Boca Raton he opened his own restaurant, the popular Aquasol Restaurant and Lounge and most recently his own private dining catering company, Good-2-Go Gourmet Foods.
While at the Four Seasons Resorts, he had the honor on two occasions, to prepare private dinners for United States Presidents Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan, which were highly praised by the Presidents and their guests.
Chef Rich's path to becoming a chef began as a young teenager while on staff at the Reuben E. Lee Riverboat in California where he quickly advanced to have the opportunity to work side-by-side with some of the finest chefs, including the world-famous Wolfgang Puck and Bay Area, Chef Bradley Ogden.
Chef Rich draws on his West Coast roots to create his popular California Continental-style masterpieces. Using French, Italian and Japanese influences with a strong emphasis on featuring "fresh vegetables" as the centerpiece of his culinary design, rather than solely showcasing the protein as is traditionally done. The fresh vegetable centerpieces are created by transforming a diverse array of ordinary vegetables, many times a total of six per plate, into blissfully memorable treats with each item prepared and paired as a bold, flavorful compliment to each other.
"We are pleased to bring world-class culinary leadership, talent and panache to our already popular a-la-carte dining venues and banquet services, as we embark on our newly announced hotel renovation program, that will include enhanced interiors for our restaurants and meeting rooms", noted Bridge Hotel General Manager Greg Kaylor. "Chef Rich with his expertise in country club, resort and independent restaurant food and beverage operations is certain to further enrich the dining experience for our guests." Our restaurants offer unique, innovative, eventful social 'scene and be seen' sky-top or on-the-water dining and entertainment.
